LOONA is unlike any other girl group: a universe built around a singular mythic narrative, where each member arrived as a chapter in an unfolding story. Over two and a half years, twelve members were introduced one at a time through monthly single albums, each carrying her own color, symbol, and celestial lore. Together, they form a constellation bound by a girl connected to the moon and a narrative of fate, sacrifice, and transformation.

HeeJin, Hyunjin, Haseul, Yeojin
The first sub-unit introduced the concept with a bright, ethereal sound and pastel imagery. They represented youth, innocence, and the beginning of the mythic journey.
ODD EYE CIRCLE
Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry
The second unit brought darker tones and a more mature narrative—rebellion, awareness, and the deepening of LOONA's lore through more complex music and visuals.
LOONA yyxy
Yves, Chuu, Go Won, Olivia Hye
The final sub-unit completed the twelve with a quirky, celestial energy—representing transformation, choice, and the convergence of all storylines toward the full group debut.
This was the original grouping in LOONA's first era. Members continue to work together and solo, and their bonds transcend any single configuration.

The Story Continues
In 2023, LOONA's public story took a turn. Disputes with their agency left the group's future uncertain, but the twelve members' bond proved stronger than any corporate decision. What emerged was something new: members pursuing individual and group projects on their own terms, reclaiming their narrative.
